For 350 years, there have been pelicans in the capital’s oldest Royal Park – and it’s a tradition that looks set fair for centuries to come.

When it comes to London’s famous avians, most of us might be tempted to think the ravens at the Tower are the clear A-listers. But, there’s more to the capital’s cast of celebrity ornithological characters than these ancient custodians of the realm, as a quick trip a few miles west to St James’s Park will testify.
