"Everyone has a record that they know and the AVCA keeps track of ... 1000-game winners, the 500-win mark, the 200-win mark. My record is 10,521-31 because it's about the 31 kids that I lost after I coached them and they left the sport. "I think the most important thing is to get kids of any age to learn to love the game and to never be an athlete's last coach. That's what I challenge everybody to think about, so we can grow the game together."
