Happy birthday to Robert Rauschenberg (1925–2008), one of the most prolific artists of the last fifty years. From 1959 to 1962, he created a series of Trophies, highly personal works dedicated to artists who had most influenced him. Our 2012 exhibition “Dancing around the Bride” featured three of his Trophies, shown here.
