@marcusbleasdale Imani Kaneno, 7 years old, suffering from cholera receives treatment in the Masisi hospital supported by #MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders). Between September 2012 and June 2013, MSF treated more than 2400 cholera cases in the Masisi region. The epidemic started in the city of Rubaya. The majority of the people being infected by the disease are workers in the mines and displaced people by the conflict who settled in the outskirts of the city. They live in poor sanitary conditions with a lack of access to soap and clean water increasing the risks of infection and transmission. Learn more in this months magazine.
