#tbt This image of the late Seth Shaw was taken on the first ascent of the NW Face of Mt Hunter in 1989. We climbed this route over the 4th of July and had good solid ice. 24 years later at the same time the entire north face of Mt Hunter was melted out and had turned in a #pachinko alley of falling rock. Temps are increasing, ice is melting and alpine environments are in a state of flux. Thanks Seth for a great adventure. @protectourwinters #climbing
