The #Moscow #Metro system is more of an #Art Deco design project than a transportation hub. Sure, it ferries about 9 million people around the city each day (4th in ridership behind #Tokyo, #Seoul, and #Beijing), but that's beside the point. It's the incredible design of the metro stations (built in the early 20th century) that is the real draw. If you find yourself in Moscow and someone suggests a metro tour, try to forget everything you know about subway systems around the world and just do it. You will be glad you did. Photo by @magnumji
