吉田吉蔵と黒澤明監督作品「天国と地獄」

吉田カバンの創業者である吉田吉蔵は12歳という若さでカバンづくりの道に進み、29歳のときに独立。カバンの出来栄えに満足できなければ商品として販売をせず、疎開先の人たちにあげてしまっていたそうです。

そんな職人としての在り方や誇りを持つ吉蔵のもとに、「世界のクロサワ」と称される黒澤明監督から重要な小道具であるカバンの製作依頼が来ることとなります。

Kichizo Yoshida, the founder of Yoshida & Co, started his career in bag making at the young age of 12 and became independent at 29.
If he was not satisfied with the quality of his bags, he did not sell them as products but gave them to people in evacuated areas.

Kichizo, who had such a way of being and pride as a craftsman, received a request from Akira Kurosawa, the director known as the world's Kurosawa, to produce bags, which are important props for him.
