Ian is our Dyehouse Supervisor and has worked at John Smedley for thirty-eight years. He dyes our John Smedley's Sea Island Cotton yarn to a specific standard before passing it on to the Knitters to knit.

"I take pride in everything that I do," says Ian. "It's the job satisfaction, knowing that the yarn I dye creates a garment that people all over the world wear. And that's something to be proud of, if anything."
