サスペンス映画の名作 “ Seven ” コンビ、デヴィッド・フィンチャー ( 監督 ) × アンドリュー・ケヴィン・ウォーカー ( 脚本 ) による最新作 “ The Killer ” ( 配給／Netflix ) を観て来た。
話は至ってシンプルで、暗殺者のミスから始まる、世界を股にかけた追跡劇 ( 復讐劇 )。
“ Seven ” のような派手なストーリー展開はありませんが、とにかく完璧で美しいディテールと、映像美にうっとりです。
“ The Smiths ”の名曲達が、ほとんど喋らない主人公の心情を代弁するかのような重要な役割を担い、スコアは “ トレント・レズナー／アッティカス・ロス ” のコンビによる完璧な世界観と、音楽好きにとってはたまらない118分 。
そして、いつもながらのデヴィッド・フィンチャー 節に彩られた、めちゃくちゃセンスの良い完璧な映画です。
Netflixで配信が始まる前にと、急いで劇場に観に行って良かったです。

I just watched “The Killer” (distributed by Netflix), the latest work by David Fincher (director) and Andrew Kevin Walker (screenwriter), the duo behind the classic suspense film “Seven”. Netflix ).
The story is quite simple: an assassin’s mistake leads to a worldwide chase (a revenge story).
It doesn’t have the flashy storyline of “Seven,” but the details are perfect and beautiful, and the visuals are mesmerizing.
The Smiths’ classic songs play an important role as if they represent the emotions of the protagonist, who hardly speaks at all, and the score is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The film is 118 minutes of perfect worldview and a must for music lovers.
And, as always, it is a perfect movie with a great sense of style, colored by David Fincher’s signature style.
I’m glad I rushed to the theater to see it before it was available on Netflix.
