リサーチの為 旧岩崎邸庭園を見学して来た。 1896年（明治29年）に岩崎彌太郎 ( 三菱財閥の創設者 ) の長男で三菱第3代社長の久彌の本邸として建造。 建築を手掛けたのは、英国人／ジョサイア・コンドル ( 明治以後の日本建築界の基礎を築く) 。127年前に完成したこの建築を見て、人々は一体何を想ったであろうか？？？ 黒船の如く建築が西洋化していくきっかけを作った一つの建築であることは間違いないです。 @ 東京都台東区

I visited the former Iwasaki Residence Garden for research. The house was built in 1896 as the main residence of Hisaya Iwasaki, the eldest son of Yataro Iwasaki (founder of Mitsubishi Zaibatsu) and the third president of Mitsubishi. The architect was Englishman Josiah Conder (who laid the foundation for Japanese architecture after the Meiji period).What must people have thought when they saw this building completed 127 years ago? It is certain that this is one of the buildings that triggered the westernization of architecture.
