The two-day programme, curated with Sonia Epstein, from the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, will span decades of works, from early cinema clips, archival films from the Wellcome Collection, and contemporary works. Talk 🥼 Overexposed: Anatomy and Cinema 🗣️ Saturday 25 November, 4:30pm, Starr Cinema This talk by Sonia Epstein illustrates the related development of cinema and optical medical tools, focusing on X-ray technology as the first instrument to visualise the inside of a living body. It will include an eclectic array of images and film clips, including examples from early cinema, archival films from the Wellcome Collection, and excerpts of works by contemporary artists.
