@gregoryhalpern’s exhibition 19 winters / 7 springs is showing at @eastmanmuseum in Rochester, New York, until March 3, 2024 🏠️

19 winters / 7 springs spans twenty years of work inspired by Halpern’s hometown, Buffalo, New York, taking viewers on a poetic visual survey of a place over time.

In addition to prints, Halpern has created photo sculptures of modest houses. The exteriors of these sculptures feature residential architecture from the area, while the interiors display photographs of total solar eclipses. For Halpern, these works are as much about architecture as they are about the mysterious and often unknowable inner lives of others.
