スプツニ子!さんのインスタグラム写真 - (スプツニ子!Instagram)「Back in July, I teamed up with Amsterdam-based design studio @affect_lab to organize the event "Bleeding into the Metaverse" at Amsterdam's iconic nightclub, Paradiso. Together with moderator Dymphie Braun, we talked about the importance of inclusivity in AI and the Metaverse. We also talked about my new femtech company "Cradle" and discussed taboos surrounding women’s health, especially menstruation, and menopause. This event was sparked by a series of discussions that took place in 2022 when I created my work "Menstrualverse" - a collection of wearables that allowed avatars to menstruate in the Metaverse. The platformers (Decentraland) were not on board with allowing wearables that simulated the flow of menstrual blood, effectively denying the existence of menstruation that half of humanity experiences in the Metaverse.
