🐕🦺 This perfectly poised pooch was made around 2,000 years ago in Colima, on the west coast of Mexico 🐶
Techichi was a breed of hairless dog frequently depicted by Colima artists and is the ancestor of the modern Chihuahua.
Dogs were believed to accompany the souls of the dead on their journey into the underworld, and both figurines and dog burials are found in tombs.
