Michael meeting actor and legendary dancer Fred Astaire on the set of the late-night TV show “The Tonight Show” in 1975. Astaire, years later, told Michael of his Motown 25 anniversary appearance where he debuted his “Moonwalk” dance: “You’re a hell of a mover. Man, you really put them on their asses last night”. Michael says it was the greatest compliment he ever received.
