The word ‘kinboshi’ comes from sumo.💪
It means a 'major achievement'.
‘Kin’ means ‘gold’ and ‘boshi' refers to a mark such as a star or dot.⭐⚫
(Hoshi - ほし- changes to boshi - ぼし when it's preceded by another word.)

After sumo bouts, a win is indicated with a white dot, and a loss, a black dot on the ‘hoshi tori hyo’ - a chart showing tournament winners and losers. ⚪⚫
When a lower-ranked rikishi defeats a Yokozuna, even though a gold dot is not included on the chart, it is referred to as a ‘kinboshi’.

Here’s how it looks in kanji, hiragana, and romaji:
金 - きん - kin - gold, 星 - ぼし - boshi - mark.
