NARA YOUNさんのインスタグラム動画 - (NARA YOUNInstagram)「This little robot was the first one that started my path to robotics in 2016. This very first concept robot I developed with #SAMSUNG was a child care robot who can be a great companion, life coach and a friendly informative educator for the little ones. I felt like I was working on a Star Wars robot in real life 🤖. Even though he was the first robot for me, he ended up being was hands down the most challenging and the most complex for engineering and software team to work on. We had a really fun prototype test group with kids of all different ages and we instantly learned that personal space gets blurred very quickly with children… They were so friendly and spontaneous… aka.. touchy and unpredictable from a robot’s perspective..😅 We had to think about ‘Rules of engagement’ and even had to come up with a plan for ‘introductions’ for the kids so the protype didn’t end up in pieces. Durability, longevity or materials, response time, expressions were all huge factors for this little robot, but the possibilities were just endless with this one. ♥️ After 6months of development I had about 2 months to make a little proof of concept video. So I reached out to @cisforfrenchfry my favorite story artist friend , and @marcus_hedges_composer my favorite music composer buddy and threaded together a little short that we can make in two months. Huge thanks to my friends @minorsaurus_rex , @mitja.art , @skungey , @nataliafreitas3d , @iker.mozos , Javier Zumaeta and Chris Cordingley, we were able to storyboard, model, animate, light and render it all in 3 months. Huge thanks to @edrobbins who helped us light and render fast using UNITY, and @joshiepoo2525 for lending us his KAYLA rig for the little girl. I was really happy with what we were able to accomplish in such short amount of time. 🙌 I will share more development work later but please enjoy this little short we made 7 years ago.
