Our Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore recently hosted female students from local tertiary institutions at our Asia Pacific Innovation Centre (APIC) premises, as part of a STEM learning journey initiative.

The visit was made in support of Shiseido APAC’s partner, United Women Singapore - a local NGO that advances women’s empowerment and gender equality - for their STEMentorship initiative which the students are a part of.

As part of their learning journey, the students were introduced to Shiseido’s innovation history and approach to R&D. They also got to experience some of the technologies used by our APIC researchers during the demo-lab experiments in areas of product development and packaging. The visit concluded with an interactive discussion where the Shiseido team shared first-hand insights into the company, our People First culture and valuable advice on how the students could chart out their future career paths in STEM.

資生堂アジアパシフィックは、STEM教育サポートの一環として、女性のエンパワーメントとジェンダー平等を推進するNGO「United Women Singapore」と連携し、資生堂アジアパシフィックイノベーションセンター（APIC）でシンガポールの高等教育機関の女子学生を受け入れました。
学生たちは資生堂のイノベーションの歴史と研究開発へのアプローチを紹介されました。また、APICの研究員が商品開発やパッケージングの分野で使用した技術の一部をデモンストレーションしました。訪問の最後には、学生たちとディスカッションが行われ、資生堂の企業文化やPeople First経営理念についての考えを共有するとともに、学生たちがSTEM分野で将来のキャリアパスを描くためのアドバイスをしました。
資生堂アジアパシフィックは、女性の教育と経済的自立を支援することで、彼女たちが地域社会と世界に良い影響を与えられるよう力を与えていきます。
