Always such a treat for the eyes coming to any of John Derian’s shops.. If you’ve never been to this location, there’s several shops, all in a row featuring different treasures for your home. It’s like a field trip filled with intrigue, creativity, cuteness, and lots of ideas for your home! Filled with handmade items from artists all around, John and his team curates items that you don’t see anywhere. I saw handmade lampshades made from vintage materials from France, to hand painted dolls, bags,‘one of a kind art pieces …furniture, bed linens…the list is endless! If you’re in the mood to take a mini tour of bliss and love to decorate, come by! . I also found out that their Christopher St shop will reopen once construction is complete. And Xmas decor will come earlier this year and will be displayed at their E 6th location. I love their mushroom 🍄 ornaments!!! . This illustration is inspired by a random picture I took on my visit (picture included in the video). I didn’t think at the moment I’ll end up drawing it so I have no idea who the artist is that made these beautiful zippered bags! They are hand painted. I looked online, on their handle, but didn’t see any info. If you know who made these, I’m happy to share the artist name. 🌼 I decided to draw this because I thought we can all use a little pretty on this Monday morning…just to add a smile to the new week!
