@akame48taki is the place to go if you want to see a real life location where ancient Iga Ninjas trained at the same time enjoy a nature hike.

Other than being the birth place of ninja, Akame 48 Waterfalls is also home to giant salamanders (there’s a small aquarium featuring these ugly-cute amphibians), and actually has more than 48 waterfalls in total.

The ninja training was fun, light-hearted but pretty challenging! Try also their summer-exclusive training, where you will almost guaranteed to get wet unless very, very skilled at balancing 😂. I totally fell into the River and took that as a chance for a mini misogi. Cool river feels goooood!
