雅-MIYAVI-さんのインスタグラム写真 - (雅-MIYAVI-Instagram)「This year, before the World Refugee Day (June 20th) I visited again Lebanon, a country I first visited with UNHCR back in 2015. While I was initially nervous about visiting the refugee settlements for the first time, especially in the aftermath of the Syrian crisis, I soon found a possible role for music in brining a little joy to the children there as I witnessed the spark in their eyes at the moment when I played the guitar. I truly felt touched and humbled by our ability to connect one another in difficult times. When I first arrived in Lebanon this time, I was hopeful that things might be getting better. But as I quickly learned, the reality is far from simple, and due to additional hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the explosion in Beirut, wheat crisis, and the earthquake, everyone, including the Lebanese are suffering deeply. Despite the continued hardships faced by both refugees and Lebanese people alike, I found comfort in the smiles of the kids I met. Those smiles served as a beacon of hope and inspiration as we continue the fight for a better tomorrow. Not only refugee communities but also Lebanon need urgent support from the international community all over the world. They need us more than ever before. 世界難民の日（6月20日）を前に、2015年以来となるレバノンを訪れました。レバノンは UNHCRのミッションとしてはじめて訪れた国でもあり、自分にとっても思い入れのある特別な場所です。７年前と比べて状況が良くなっている可能性を期待していましたが、現実はそう単純なものではなく、新型コロナウイルス発生後も、ベイルートでの爆発事故、ウクライナ情勢による小麦危機、政治不安定による経済危機、そして記憶にも新しいトルコ・シリアでの大規模な地震による影響など、度重なる困難に直面し、難民だけでなく、レバノンの皆さんも相当に困難な生活を強いられている状況を目の当たりにしました。苦難の中にありながらも、子供たちの笑顔は明るい未来を切り開いていくための希望とインスピレーションになってくれます。彼らの心に残る笑顔が示す意味はすごく大きく大切なものだと今回の旅でも改めて実感したし、何よりこちらまで大きなパワーをもらいます。難民の方々だけではなく、レバノンに住む人々にとっても行く先の見えない困難な状況が続く中で、僕たちを含むグローバル社会からの継続的な支援とバックアップを必要としています。 📸 by @houssam.h264 #世界難民の日」6月12日 3時20分
