💪🏾Tricep Edition
Are you ready to grow those triceps? Here is my go-to dumbbell-only exercise. The dumbbell kickback is a staple in my workout routine and is a great way to focus on that mind-to-muscle relationship 💪🏾
Your triceps occupy about 55% of your upper arm. This means if you want to grow and define your arms, you will focus more on training your triceps. Dumbbell kickbacks are a great way to target the triceps and improve muscle stability💪🏾
🚫 Avoid swinging your arms and locking your elbows between each rep. Keeping a stiff back and swinging your torso forward when returning the weight can cause unnecessary strain on your back and risk injury. Instead, prioritise a stable torso and neutral spine. Don’t forget to squeeze on each contraction to really engage each muscle 💪🏾 A great way to practice is lowering the weight but increasing your reps 🙏🏾 If you’re a beginner I’d recommend 3 sets of 8 to 12 rep range 🏋🏾♀️
