Shanghai will always be a special place for me to compete in. Not only is it the location of some of my first international fencing experience (fencing camps when I was 10), but it is my grandmother’s hometown, the city where my grandparents met. Although Ahma and Ahgong never got the opportunity to watch me fence live, I like to think of them every time I compete here.
