Have you ever noticed tiny bumps around your nipples? These are called Montgomery glands. Some people have more noticeable, raised bumps. Other people have very few or the bumps are hardly visible. They're not pimples, so don’t try to squeeze them! They’re oil glands that keep the nipples and areolae clean and moisturized.
They’re totally normal! Hormonal changes can make the glands bigger especially during pregnancy, a period, or puberty. If you have questions about how your nipples look and feel, you can always talk to a doctor.
