Footage by Javier Aznar @javier_aznar_photography | A fishing spider (Trechalea sp.) is wrapping its prey in silk—very carefully—at night next to a river in the Jama-Coaque Ecological Reserve in Ecuador. The males of some species in this genus present wrapped nuptial gifts to females in order to reproduce, but it's difficult to confirm that's what was happening here.
