I had a chance to talk with Dr. Someya, Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, and Ms. Kashiwamura, Executive Officer of Recruit, about the "reskilling" of women by the "Metaverse Engineering Department" of the University of Tokyo, in an article on Forbes JAPAN. I myself am involved with the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Engineering as an advisory board member, and this is a wonderful article full of everyone's thoughts. I would be happy if you could take a look at it. (I will post the link in the story.) I would also like to draw your attention to the "Declaration of Action for Human Resource Development through Industry-Academia Collaboration toward the Realization of a DE&I Society," which was jointly announced by the Faculty of Engineering and sponsoring companies on the occasion of International Women's Day. (I will put up on story about this as well.) Academia and business should work hand in hand to promote social change. I believe that many social issues can be solved through industry-academia collaboration.
