Zoe & Izzyさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Zoe & IzzyInstagram)「🖤In loving memory of Zoë, Queen of Hearts (12 July 2015 - 5 May 2022). With a heavy heart we inform you that Zoë passed away. We apologise for the delay in this announcement. We are heartbroken and needed some time to process. 🏥 Zoë was suddenly unable to walk so we took her to the emergency veterinary hospital. She was admitted to the ICU with severe anaemia and needed a blood transfusion. Over the next week, Zoë had many tests ranging from blood tests to ultrasounds to biopsies and she received two more blood transfusions. She now also developed fluid in her chest and stomach. Her anaemia appeared immune mediated but they could not determine the cause as all tests came back negative. There were only two options left: auto-immunity or an untreatable bone marrow tumor. She was too weak for a bone marrow biopsy and she did not respond to the treatment for auto-immunity. It broke our hearts when the vets said there was nothing more they could do. 💉We shared story updates (saved in highlights with more details) and many of you messaged us regarding FIP. The vets had dismissed this as a possibility but it is a very complex diagnosis and we wanted to at least try the medication for it before giving up. The medication is not yet registered and the hospital would not cooperate, so we transferred Zoë to a different hospital in a last effort to try and save her life. They let us inject her with it twice a day and did a FIP test that was not performed previously. 💔Unfortunately, Zoë did not respond to the medication and she had so little blood left they could no longer draw any. The fluid kept increasing despite being drained and she was having difficulty breathing. She developed oedema all over her body and was too weak for a fourth blood transfusion. She was falling apart and we had to let her go. A few days later, the FIP test result came back: negative. We will never know what took our sweet Zoë from us. Maybe it was a bone marrow tumor after all. 🫶From the bottom of our hearts (Zoë still x2): thank you to everyone who donated towards our fundraiser or supported us in any other way. Your heartwarming support meant the world to us in this difficult time.」6月19日 21時30分 - izzyandthefluff
