American Apparel Japanさんのインスタグラム写真 - (American Apparel JapanInstagram)「2/6/22 ~たまごのおはなし~ #吉祥寺 ⭐︎OVERALL RATING・総合評価: 4.7/5☆ i had a hair removal day in kichijoji after work that day so i was ice cream chillin chillin ice cream chillin with codp before my session🍦we were walking around kichijoji to kill time and came across a TKG (tamago kake gohan) restaurant; which obviously caught my attention so we settled to eat there for din din !! we were both expecting like a very “japanese-like” restaurant with counter tables, but the place was VERY chill-looking and had rugby (or soccer?) playing from the overhead projector and jazz music was softly playing in the back. they also had individual tables, with half of the tables being on top of tatami mats!😇 the standard menu is getting two eggs and another helping of rice for ¥700 but my boyfriend and i got the topping set for ¥1300 where we were able to choose 3 toppings to eat on the side with the standard menu. for the toppings, we got cheese, kimchi, chili oil, mala chili oil, tuna flakes, and spicy cod roe! while we were waiting for our bowl of rice to arrive, we went over to the ~egg counter~ to grab the eggs of our choice. we obviously had no clue how to identify the “best” egg out of the bunch, but we both got the most popular egg! for our second choice, i believe i got the egg that was known for its bright orange egg yolk and codo got the blue-ish tinted egg… i may be wrong with who got what🥲 we ate the first TKG the standard way, where u mix the egg in a separate bowl and pour it in the bowl with the rice! the egg looked BEAUTIFUL and was rich in colour. we were both astonished with how bright orange the yolk was compared to the cheap eggs we usually consume at home! 🥚 after we finished our first bowl, we decided to try a different way of eating, where you have meringue with the yolk on top (4th pic) !! lemme tell ya’ll it was heavY but very good☺️ i think if you come here it’s best to try both ways of eating TKG since even though the same ingredients are used for both, it tastes very different!
