END OF AN ERA.
Yes, I finally climbed the majestic General Disarray, probably one of the most iconic 8B’s in the World.
It is definitely not my hardest problem or the one I tried the most but for sure this is the boulder I struggled the most on during the years… I can’t remember a single session I felt it doable.
The first time I tried it, being also my first time in Brione, was in November 2005 with @lucio_giudici @damiano.cora @bunkerini …
Fast forward 16 years.
I decide to have a session on General Disarray after a few years of absence. I don’t think I am much stronger than the previous years but I am definitely better at figuring out things. I always struggled on the big move in the middle and get the pinch right but this time, all of the sudden, I saw the light…
It was simple, the key was being different than all the other hundreds that tried this boulder. Forget all the videos and betas and think with your own head.
The send came very casually and destiny wanted that first ascentionist and good friend @デイブ・グラハム showed up a bit before my final attempt and also took the video! Thanks dude!
