Goin through it in the brain department this week. I shared the start of my journey with medication, so it’s only right that I share the not so fun in between parts of it. Medication was going great until this week (about a month in) when I got into the uncharted territory of jet lag + new brain chemistry experiments, which I think is the main offender here. Things took a turn for the not so fun & I’m having a hard time just functioning this week, never mind lifting. Without going into too much detail, I feel like I’m in someone else’s body & “space head” is making normal tasks difficult & also scary because I’m lacking a lot of awareness. All this to say, I’m taking it day by day and remembering to be kind to myself even though I’m frustrated and disappointed. Sticking with it nonetheless & will continue to make the necessary adjustments until things settle down or I find my right mix. And just doing what I can each day with what I’ve got. I told myself now was the time to finally prioritize my mental health & that means letting other things take the back seat if needed while I get things sorted.

It’s hard, it’s scary & a lot of people go through this process feeling alone or like there is something wrong because things aren’t working. So this is just your reminder that you’re not alone, shit sucks a little bit to put it bluntly, but it’s temporary and it will get better. We got it guys, don’t worry 🖤
