Judaline has been the first to do a lot of things as a black woman in the skilled trades; after learning plumbing in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, @judaline6 became one of the first women to be accepted into the Staten Island New York Plumbers Local 371. She's also the first woman to be elected to the Examining Board of Plumber’s Local No. 1. But perhaps most impressive is the way Judaline’s put others first. Her nonprofit Tools and Tiaras teaches young girls that jobs don’t have genders and that there are lifelong benefits of learning a trade. We’re inspired by anyone motivated to build a better life for people other than themselves. We’re thankful for people like Judaline, and we remain committed to doing more for future black and minority workers.
