The first thing I ever learnt when I started guitar was the names of the fingers. My teacher Winslow took my hand and traced the outline of both hands, and told me there were names for each of the fingers. That was when I was 4, living in NY. Today, my international debut album "REI" was released, via digital. Thank you Verve for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I know it is my first baby step but it means alot to me, that after all these years of making music in the Japanese market, I am going back to my roots to the States. Where my journey began. ギターで一番 最初に習ったのが、指の名前でした。4 歳の時、アメリカNYで初めて教室に行った日、先生はわたしの手をとって、五線譜にかざし、その輪郭を鉛筆でなぞりました。そして、pima, 1234 とそれぞれの指の名を記していったのです。

すべての指に名前がついているように、アーティストの人生に巻き起こるすべての出来事には意味があると思っています。本当はしょっぱなからアメリカでデビューしたいと思っていた私が、日本語の美しさに魅了されて母国で音楽を作ってきた歩みや、その道すがらに出会った音楽友達に感謝を。そして原点であるNYから始まる、奇想天外な新章に期待を寄せて。
