Recently learnt about a new Peranakan place which serves really tasty Peranakan dishes that would make me want to go back again. It is opened by chef-owner Danny Chew who used to do private home-dining.
This Nasi Goreng Buah Keluak ($15) with fried egg, crispy shallots was fragrant without being overpowered by the savoury nut. The Barramundi Assam ($26) cooked in a secret recipe gravy of lemongrass and laksa leaf was tangy and not too spicy. A good switch from the Chinese food during this CNY season
