My answer was always no, because not only am I independent, but also highly aware of the fact that there’s constantly people around (well, not in this pic 😂) who would love to chat. There’s millions of people on the internet, not to mention the privilege of how easy it is to video call friends and family. Solo travel taught me that there will always be someone willing to help you if you need it. I remember in Tokyo, people would actually come up to me, asking if I needed help! In Morocco, my bnb hosts would bring me to and from the bus station and even offer to show me around! The amount of friends I’ve made around the world is mind blowing and heart warming, and I was alone when I met most of them! You can see in the comments on the last post just how many people that is! If the thought of being alone is stopping you from traveling solo, let it go and trust me when I say it’s the best thing you can do for yourself. If you’re scared of ending a relationship because you don’t want to be alone, trust me when I say there are millions of other people out there, but more importantly, the best company you should have, is yourself. Being comfortable being alone is one of the most liberating, empowering feelings one can have. Don’t worry about what other people will say, they likely haven’t had the pleasure of the freedom of being happily solo. Let go of the fear, and just go! Casual self promo: I have hundreds of blog posts about solo travel, how to travel long term, solo travel itineraries, tips etc etc on my website (mylifesamovie.com) And then unrelated: please note how in this photo one side of the street is deteriorating and the other is new. This is very typical in Cuba. It shows who has family with money in the US (who send it and supplies to fix things) or what is government owned.... Anyway, have you gone solo? What’s your favorite thing about it? #solotravel #solotraveler #havana #havanacuba #gltlove #traveltips #beautifuldestinations #mylifesatravelmovie」2月5日 2時55分 - mylifesatravelmovie
