We asked 25 of the most important stylists in the world to choose and photograph — this time without a professional photographer in the mix — regular people who are seen as embodying the style of the moment. Because stylists are in the best position to help us understand the state of fashion after this strange and difficult year, getting in touch with style in the real world. We also asked them to talk about fashion in 2021. The result is a meaningful shared experience. What stands out is a sense of urgency when it comes to the environment, a celebration of diversity, uncertainty about the future — for the whole system — as well as the importance of the individual stories of those featured.
