@Ketobrawn Chicken and "Rice" seasoned with flavorgod italian Zest seasoning!!

We haven't had this since the carby days. Let's face it, it's not that great without the cream of mushroom and chicken soup.. From the meals of yesteryear..... THIS WAS BORN...
Preheat oven to 400° and heat up that cast iron !!!!
We marinaded the chicken breasts in our homemade Italian dressing ( that'll be a totally different post😋)
And @Flavorgod Seasonings italian Zest seasoning.
This will be a family sized recipe
5 chicken breasts( we used free range)
2 bags of steamable cauli rice ( we used garlic herb)
The Faux Mushroom Soup
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken bone broth
1 tbsp cornstarch or your favorite thickener(xanthan gum, coconut flour)
1 Tbsp dry parmesan cheese
4 med fresh portobello mushrooms sliced
1 1/4 tsp salt @Flavorgod Seasonings Pink Salt and Peppercorn
A pinch of black pepper
1) Start to slowly heat the cup of cream in a small saucepan. Put the bone broth in a small bowl and whisk in the cornstartch and let sit.
2) In your heated skillet, add a bit of butter and fry up the mushroom slices til just tender and colored. Add to the heated cream, and stir.
3) Throw a little oil in your skillet and sear your chicken. About 4 minutes a side, or til you get some good color on em, and start to steam your cauli rice in the micro for 7 minutes each. Set chicken on a plate when done.
3) Add the salt and pepper to the cream, give the bone broth a stir and add it to the cream also .. Stir to combine. Heat to a simmer on med low, add the parmesan and let thicken a bit.
4) When the cauli rice is done pour into an oven safe dish. We used cast iron of course 😁😁
5) Pour the "soup" over the rice and mix. Lay chicken on top and bake for 30 minutes.. Let rest for 10 minutes and dig in !!! Happy stormy Tuesday Brawnies ❤❤❤
