As we intentionally celebrate black history this month, I want to start off celebrating Black MEN. Possibly the most misunderstood and under appreciated beings on this planet. Our male counterparts that cause so much damage are often mistaken for US! They are NOT! They lack the information, instruction and accountability to be who we are.

With that said I want to celebrate one of our shining examples—-principal Henry Darby. While he may be in South Carolina, they’re are servant leaders, Black men, all across this country who are rarely recognized and go without the affirmation they deserve.

May this post serve as a shout out to all of our servant soldiers who make this world a better place. Black men, like our sisters, we have a ton of weight on our shoulders. But unlike our sisters, society will too often see us as a LETHAL ASSAILANT and not as a LOVING CITIZEN. Today I celebrate you and affirm you. ✊🏽👑
