Interestingly @janetjackson “What Have You Done For Me Lately just turned 35 (no coincidence and more to come later😉) Anyway when we were inducted into the @songwritershof a few years ago we were asked if there was anything we hadn’t done yet. I said that we had always wanted to do a Jam & Lewis album and if we did one wouldn’t be cool to do something with our fellow inductee @babyface on it. Then a little over a year ago we were honored with the Legend Award at the @soultrain awards. It was presented to us by Babyface which made the honor even more special. His talent is unsurpassed and our respect and admiration we have for him is beyond words. But even better is what Terry calls “hang factor”. We enjoy hanging out telling stories, reminiscing, and creating. As we were rehearsing @fallontonight we actually came up with something new while warming up so stay tuned. Anyway we want to thank @jimmyfallon and our friend @questlove for having us, and our friends at @westlakestudios for giving us an historic location that was safe socially distanced for our “debut” performance of #HDKNBI We hope you enjoy and at some point maybe we’ll take it on the road when it’s safe of course 😷😎.
