「鬼の背中。」

豆をはじめとする穀物は、災いを祓い、鬼を退治する力があると考えられてきました。
鬼の姿は目には見えないものですが、こうした手ぬぐいに向かって豆を投げるのも一興です。

豆をまかれて逃げていく、鬼の手ぬぐい。
へっぴり腰で愛嬌たっぷりに逃げ惑う鬼の「後ろ姿」を、注染という染めの技術で描いています。
タペストリーのように部屋の中心や玄関に飾るのもおすすめです。

This is a hand towel of an ogre running away after being thrown beans.
The "back of the demon" is depicted using a dyeing technique called "chusen dye".
It is recommended to display it in the center of a room or at the entrance like a tapestry.
