'I live in London and my mum lives in Canada with the rest of my family. Coronavirus has made it too difficult to travel home this year. I want to dedicate this work to my mom who inspired my love of the arts by taking me to galleries, ballets, and shows as a small child. One of the reasons I moved to London was to enjoy the art and culture of this historic city. I think of my mom every time I wander through galleries, and thought of her the first time I saw this painting at the Tate. I love the warmth, magic and innocence portrayed in this scene.'
