As I see on my bro’s @chrmcbride’s feed EVERYONE was born today: I’m working RN so I got a long enough break to s/o #TonyWilliams

I chose #ThereComesATime because I first heard it from @templeuniv #Jazz90 dj #RichardNichols who in about a year became @TheRoots manager. It froze me when I heard the album version cause I never knew TW could even sing. His voice haunts like a ghost on the lp version.

When Rich passed I decided to sing this at his home going services. Was difficult to not break down w/o doing so.

I did one gig w TW early in my career & really didn’t get a chance to tell him how much his drumming and music meant to me.
