当ホテルのロビーにデザインされた木の組物は、社寺建築によく用いられる「斗栱（ときょう）」と呼ばれるもので、10年前に開業する際、建築家 隈研吾氏が手掛けました。お客様をお出迎えする”おもてなし”の意味も込められた「ザ・キャピトルホテル 東急」を象徴するモチーフです。

The main entrance and lobby area of The Capitol Hotel Tokyu was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma 10 years ago. Its expansive eaves of natural wood called "To-kyo", which are traditionally used in Japanese temple architecture, express the traditional cultural importance of a guest’s welcome as a staple of The Capitol Hotel Tokyu.
