Jennifer and Helen pay friends and family members to drive them to Walgreens, in Clay, to pick up medicine, or Sam’s Club, in Charleston, to go grocery shopping; this costs between 10 and 30 dollars every trip, which adds up, and can be difficult to afford with a fixed income. @FeedingAmerica is the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization with a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs that together provide food to more than 40 million people per year.
