Photo by @tamaramerino_photography / The Aghor are a cult that consume human flesh for some rituals—from corpses routinely found floating in the Ganges—and immerse themselves in environments where death surrounds them as part of their daily routine. They live and perform their rituals in cremation grounds, but despite their extreme practices and lifestyle, a true Aghor will never hurt another being. To become an Aghor, each member of the sect has to spend at least 12 years learning and practicing from his personal guru.
