ニック・ナイトさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ニック・ナイトInstagram)「Jeurgen Teller / Go Sees. All this week I am celebrating the fact that on the 27th of November at 19.37 SHOWstudio.com will be 20 years old . This is actually the very first project to go on SHOWstudio. It is an interactive ( developed by fuel.design.com ) where you hear brilliant photographer ( and friend ) Jeurgen Teller say the questions he would ask models when they would come to see him on what was called a “go-see “. Which meant models were given a photographers address and told to go round to that photographers, studio or house and show them their book of images and tear sheets from magazines of themselves. This was to a large degree how the process of seeing new models worked for the industry 20 years ago. For this SHOWstudio project the idea was that each question he would ask would get you to a random choice of more questions , meaning that it would be different everytime you looked at the project. Jeurgens questions are both profound and unexpected, much like Jeurgen’s work . Twenty years fast forward and I find most of my models on instagram these days and it gives you a little more insight into who they are or at least who they want to be , which is better than getting sent a model card with two pictures on it. @uglyworldwide , @caitinkitten , @girlchildd , @yungelita , @salvjiia @matieresfecales , @isshehungry ,are just a few of the amazing people I have found on Instagram and had the huge pleasure and honour to photograph for SHOWstudio.com Times change and it’s now us , the image makers and photographers who are on GoSees . People like @kimkardashian with over 100 million followers have permanently and forevermore tipped the balance of power in the fashion world . All the fashion magazines combined cannot hope to rival such figures . Fashion has changed and for the better , it’s models who were previously almost powerless now have a huge voice and the ability to use it .
