As we move into the week, we cannot forget about the celebrations, the joy we are feeling. That joy is coming from deep within. It is liberation from the weight of wondering, worrying, the deep fear of rights being stripped away for so many of us, of lives being taken so power is held. That is what that joy is. It is being able to sleep at night again, it is knowing that there is renewed hope and not utter despair. Let us remember the celebration as we move into the days that will take us further from the day where we cheered victoriously, hanging out of our car windows, crying with strangers in public, dancing, singing, calling our friends with the biggest smiles.
