The first lockdown for me was hideous and incredibly life changing, let’s see how it goes half a year on when I’m in an entirely different place in my life as I’m sure many of us now are. It’s funny looking back how seemingly carefree and ignorant we were to the freedom that we had before the pandemic struck - all of the everyday things that we did and took entirely for granted. It warmed my heart to see nature and wildlife recovering when the world was locked indoors, then for humanity to fall to its knees and love and help one another as family rather than strangers constantly fighting or in competition to be best. We’ve since shone importance upon the immune system, good health, daily exercise and optimum nutrition. Our relationships are stronger, our mental health and wellbeing now moves to the forefront of our day and people are connecting and communicating moreso than ever during isolation. If this year has taught us anything I hope it’s the realisation of quality over quantity in life; putting needs above that of wants, recognising our many blessings and counting them twice and finally realising that money cannot buy you happiness. It’s the little things in life that matter the most. Please always be kind, to others as well as yourself, live your life with love, positivity and passion and never be afraid to speak your mind and express your emotions - we are all human and nobody is perfect.
