It takes a lot more than an impressive resume to land a job at Amazon.
Even in Amazon's early years, founder and CEO Jeff Bezos was fastidious about hiring the strongest employees possible. And while it's unlikely that today Bezos is doing the interviewing himself, in his 1998 letter to shareholders he outlined three key questions for leaders to consider before hiring new employees to ensure that Amazon would retain its high standards.
Those questions:
1) “Will you admire this person?”
2) “Will this person raise the average level of effectiveness of the group they’re entering?”
3) “Along what dimension might this person be a superstar?″
