#SanCristobaldelaCasas has a very interesting food scene, from high end dining to street 🌽 and the hole in the wall Frida 🍟. Also very good Thai food @bangcook_oficial Our favorites, based upon return visits, below:

We ate breakfast and lunch at @tierraycielorestaurante (1-4). Highlights include
- Huevos Cazuels
- Quesadilataz con queso de cuadro
- Tacos el Pastor w Sea Bream
- Posh Blanco (local moonshine) w jicama
- Pozol y Mail de Cacao
- Tamales de Chipilin
We had the best meal of the visit @mesamadre.mx (6-7) in part due to mastechef @saralmartinez_ and local hero @ottoherrero but of course the food, including:
- Crab Crepe w fried egg
- Canneloni w Guava, Shrimp and pulpo
The brief meal we had at @xut.mx (8-10) was so great we repeated it for a takeaway car journey dinner:
- Sopa MILPA
Fondo de tomatillo rojo, vegetales y epazote, con elote, calabacín, hongos y vegetales frescos.
- PAN DE AJO
Hogaza rústica horneada con mantequilla de ajo, relleno de queso crema y especias.
