Did you know? The blue whale is the largest animal on Earth.🐋 In fact, this mammal is the biggest animal ever known to have existed. It's even bigger than the enormous dinosaurs that lived over 65 million years ago! You can get a sense for the sheer size of this colossal animal in the Museum’s Hall of Ocean Life. The 94-foot-long-, 21,000-pound- model is crafted from foam and fiberglass—and is suspended by a single steel pipe, connected to structures hidden in both the model and the ceiling.
